3 excercises to Improve your Surfing

Surfing is a sport which requires a high level of balance due to the nature of the unstable surface (waves) that you surf on. In order to improve your balance and in turn your surfing ability,there are a number of simple exercises which can further develop your balance.

These exercises train the muscles which are responsible for your balancing ability, which includes your core muscles (abs and lowerback) and also the muscles through your hips.

To do these exercises you will need a stability (exercise) ball.
1. Knee balance - Kneel on the ball with your hands out to thesides for balance. Try and stay on the ball for 30 seconds withoutfalling off.
2. Knee balance with rotation - Kneel on the ball and hold anobject that weighs 3-5 kgs (eg medicine ball, weight plate). Hold the ball out at arms length and rotate it from one side of yourbody to the other whilst maintaining your balance. Do this for 30seconds.
3. Knee balance throw & catch - Kneel on the stability ball andthrow a basketball or medicine ball against a wall so you catch iton the rebound. Test yourself by throwing it at different angles.

Burning some Fat with Irene

I got to do a little training today with an ole Martial Arts partner Irene.

Just a little background I have been involved with Mixed Martial Arts, Kali,
Jeet Kune Do since the early 90's .

We got in a little workout before we sat down to chill and connect.

Here it is:

Contra lateral press and lunge -1min
Plank toe touch - 1 min
3 rounds

Contra lateral curl and lunge -1min
Mountain climbers hands on BOSU-1min
3 rounds

Squat and press -1min
Rev Crunch-1min
3 rounds

Squat and curl-1min
Upper crunch-1min
3 rounds

7 day fat loss guide

Here's some tips on eating better, along with a complete 7-Day guideto Fat Loss with lots of secrets to get the most fat burning results in the least amount of time.

Sunday Okay, picky eaters, you've got some work to do. Your goal this week is to try one new fruit and one new vegetable. C'mon, you can do it! And don't forget to get at least 30 minutes of fun, easy activity.

Monday Do your TT workout and add a 6-minute abs workout at the end.

Tuesday If you are up for a challenge, try the TT Member's weekly workout competition. Each week we come up with a new challenge that everyTT Member can try. You'll find this week's program on the TT Forum. It's tough, but still appropriate for most folks to do on their off-days (unless youare a beginner).

Wednesday After today's TT workout, take 5-10 minutes to lie down, and breatheslowly and deeply from your belly. Just relax, focus on the breathing, and inhale and exhale some of your stress away. You'll beamazed at what this simple 5-minute break can do for you.

Thursday Get 30-minutes of light activity and include an extra round of allthe stretches from your TT manual. For desk workers, do an extra 30-second stretch for the chest, hip flexors, and hamstrings.

Friday Finish off your TT workout with a round of 3-minute arms - or two ifhave time.

Get rid of all the Halloween junk that you don't need to have in thehouse. Tell your kids to hide their candy. Give away the extrachocolate bars and chips that you didn't hand out. Get rid of the junk before you eat it. And don't feel bad about throwing it in the garbage. It's called "junk food" for a reason.
